From Saturday night July 25 through to Tuesday July 28, 370 participants from 15 schools around Australia descended onto the Avondale School and Avondale University campuses for the fourth annual Adventist National Games (ANG). It was a time of celebration of faith, friendship, and sport.Throughout the tournament, our students displayed impressive skill, determination, and sportsmanship. They competed fiercely while encouraging teammates, respecting officials, and supporting other schools. Off the court, students formed new friendships through worship time together, shared meals, and conversations after games.Avondale School's teams achieved some outstanding results. Our Junior Girls Basketball Team finished 2nd, while our Junior Boys Basketball Team won their Grand Final. Our Senior Boys Volleyball Team also claimed a Grand Final victory. Adding to these achievements, Oscar R and Sahara F received the Sportsperson Award. We are proud of each of our athletes who competed in the ANG and are looking forward implementing what we learned as we prepare for coming tournaments.
