A few weekends ago, the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh participants completed their Practice Adventurous Journey. This was the first of two camps and involved an overnight trip to Myall Lakes, where students developed kayak skills and explored the waterways under the guidance of Mr Densley Ross. Participants described the experience as challenging yet enjoyable, and they remained positive and supportive of one another throughout the journey.
The Adventurous Journeys form just one part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Participants also undertake a physical recreation, skill, and service activity over an extended period, contributing to a well-rounded extra-curricular experience.
