Glory to God

The View - Dec 11, 2025

As the words “Joyful, joyful” rang out across our campus and fireworks burst into the damp night sky, I experienced a moment of deep gratitude. Another beautiful Community Christmas Carols program had come to life. Throughout the evening, guests, families and performers shared how much they loved the atmosphere: the friendliness, the warmth and the sense of joy they experienced from our school community. Again and again, we heard the same message: there was something genuine and special in the way people connected.

That makes me incredibly proud and deeply thankful to God for His goodness to our school. We recognise that every success, every moment of joy and every opportunity to share hope comes from Him. It is by His grace that our community continues to grow, serve and shine His love to others.

The Bible describes Christian community as the body of Christ. Many different parts working together for one purpose. It is a picture of people who celebrate alongside one another, lift each other up through challenges and choose to care deeply for the good of the whole. While we are not perfect, this is the type of community we strive to be: connected, respectful, embracing diversity and working side-by-side for the benefit of every child and family.

As we reflect on the year, I would like to express sincere thanks to our staff, whose dedication, professionalism and genuine care for students are evident in everything they do. We also extend heartfelt appreciation to our families for your strong support, encouragement and partnership. Your trust strengthens our mission and helps us continue to share the love and hope of Jesus.

Thank you for being such an important part of Avondale School this year. It is a privilege to educate and nurture your children. To God be the glory for all we have seen and experienced together.

As you head into the holiday season, may your home be filled with peace, happiness and the hope of Jesus. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a safe, joyful New Year. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026!
