The inaugural Secondary Chess Competition was held this week in the MPC gymnasium with 24 participants. Students from Years 7-10 played in an open competition for 7 rounds. There were many very close and exciting games where students learnt quickly from their mistakes. New strategies were employed and lessons learnt. Students played against other students who were on the same score each round. All students played the full 7 rounds.
