On Thursday, K-2 students enjoyed a fun and educational incursion from the Living Safely with Dogs Program. This interactive session was led by a trained pet educator and his friendly border collie Bolt. Students learned how to safely interact with dogs through songs, multimedia, stories, and lots of role play. They identified when to leave dogs alone, how to read dog body language, how to approach a dog safely, and what to do if approached by an unknown or aggressive dog. One of the highlights was when some students had the chance to pat Bolt, the beautiful black and white dog.
