On Thursday our school hosted the Newcastle regional heat for Kids’ Lit Quiz. 22 teams from 10 different schools across the region participated in the event. Students were quizzed by YA author, Nat Amoore and the room was buzzing with answers about authors, characters, mythology and all things books. Our students had such a terrific day and represented themselves and our School well. Avondale had 3 teams enter the event. Congratulations to all our participants from the day, but particularly, Josie F, Tabitha T, Zara G and Antigone C, whose team came 6th out of 22.
