Multicultural Connection

Secondary News - June 20, 2025

This week our school celebrated its first ever cross-campus Multicultural Connection, an event where our school community came together to share and celebrate cultures with their peers, teachers, and family members.

We kicked off the week on Tuesday, with Cultural Dress and Performance Day. Students proudly wore their traditional clothing or national colours to represent the many cultures that make up our school community. Later that day, we were treated to a stunning showcase of cultural performances, with students and family members sharing traditional dances and songs on stage.

On Wednesday, we proudly presented our Cultural Food Stalls, celebrating the rich diversity within our community. Students had the exciting opportunity to sample a wide variety of authentic and flavourful dishes from around the world ranging from savoury foods to sweet pastries and traditional desserts.

Although we were unable to go ahead with our planned Cultural Trivia Quest on Thursday due to unforeseen circumstances, we are immensely proud of the success and impact of this event. It marks an important step in building a stronger, more connected school community that values and celebrates diversity.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who contributed food and displayed their cultural performances. Your support made this celebration truly special. We look forward to building on this event in the years to come, continuing to foster pride, respect, and meaningful connections across our school community.
