This week, Avondale School proudly competed in a local robotics competition hosted at Macquarie College. Our students joined teams from Central Coast Adventist School (CCAS) and Macquarie College in a day filled with innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Avondale was represented by three dedicated teams who worked tirelessly throughout the day. The spirit of teamwork and perseverance shone brightly in our students, with many displaying outstanding collaboration and resilience. A particular highlight was the Teamwork Award, presented to Antigone C, Zara M, and Liliana S, recognising their ability to work together with excellence and determination as well as encouraging this quality in others.
We also celebrate the fantastic efforts of Isaac G and Loki F, who achieved the highest point score of the day from Avondale students, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects both skill and persistence. We sincerely thank Macquarie College for their warm hospitality and the smooth running of the event. Avondale School is excited to be hosting the next round of the competition in Term 4, and we look forward to welcoming schools to our campus.
It is always inspiring to see our future innovators exploring the world of robotics - building skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity that will serve them well into the future. We thank Mrs Rijavec who champions our robotics club and gives these students the opportunity to be stretched each week.
