Last week we sent five teams of students to the Term 2 Robotics Tournament held at Macquarie College. Students developed their codes and modified their robots to tackle the challenging course set up by the First Lego League. This year’s theme was based around an archaeology theme, students had to have their robots excavate dig sites, raise shipwrecks and restore broken architecture. Our students demonstrated amazing teamwork skills, at times working with students with other schools to develop solutions to the problems they faced. One of our teams, the 'Cyclone Crushers' consisting of Zoe P, Gianna S, Liliana S and Nyah H, took home the trophy for highest points scored in a single round! Well done! We are looking forward to the next Robotics event which will be held in Term 3.
