PROPEL students visited Adventist Senior Living this week to begin the Enterprise and Travel PBL unit. Students are working in pairs to create a vicarious travel experience for some of the residents of Adventist Senior Living, so time was spent getting to know each other, sharing stories and learning about the types of travel experiences the residents would appreciate. The project is aimed at providing opportunity for enriching experiences for both students and residents, and facilitating personal growth in the employability skill areas of collaboration, communication, self-management, creativity, confidence and citizenship. It was wonderful to watch the exchange of experiences and the insight into what life was like in times different from today.
