It was a great day to break records, the sun was shining, and it was cool but not too cold. Five buses full of students headed to our Athletics Carnival on Monday. Most of them ran, jumped and threw all day. Participation amongst the 13 and 14 years age groups was very high. We had new records set in the 200m, 400m, 800m and High Jump. A big thanks to all the teachers and helpers, as well as the Year 12s for the burgers and pancakes which kept us all fuelled up. We had a group of Avondale University PDHPE students come to help out which was greatly appreciated. The House Captains motivated and encouraged the students as well as breaking some records themselves.
