Last Thursday lunchtime we held our first session of Coding Club in the Secondary technology room. We had an amazing turnout of thirteen students who were keen to embark on a journey into the world of coding. We discussed the possibilities for coding club over the next twelve months and the prospective projects and competitions on the calendar. From RoboCup to Hackathons, the possibilities for the future are extremely exciting. In this week’s session we began with an introduction to basic Python code and set our students up with access to our learning content system. We were so impressed with the focus and drive of these young coders, and are excited to support them as they build new skills together.
