Secondary Leadership Training

Secondary News - Feb 27, 2026

Last Friday, our Year 12 Leadership Team participated in a dedicated leadership development workshop facilitated by Catherine Olivier from LQ Training, a respected past student of Avondale. The session was intentionally designed to strengthen the capacity and confidence of our senior leaders as they undertake their significant responsibilities within the school community.

Throughout the morning, students engaged in practical and interactive learning experiences focused on key leadership competencies, including effective public speaking, strategic event planning, and purposeful goal setting. Catherine provided both theoretical frameworks and real-world insights, enabling students to develop a deeper understanding of what it means to lead with clarity, organisation, and integrity.

The workshop proved to be both productive and highly valuable, equipping our Year 12 leaders with practical tools and strategies that will support them in their roles throughout the year. We are confident that the skills and insights gained will empower them to continue leading with excellence and to positively influence the culture and direction of Avondale School.
