Secondary Prefect Leadership Training Day

Secondary News - Nov 08, 2024

On Wednesday October 30, a leadership training day was held for newly elected Prefects that provided an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of leadership. Through some fun and engaging activities and discussions, they explored core leadership principles such as communication, responsibility, and empathy. Students also took part in exercises designed to help them discover their personal strengths and leadership traits. Working collaboratively in small groups, they learned how to support one another and harness their collective skills for effective leadership. Students selected the individual portfolio they will lead out in for the coming year in areas such as lunchtime sports, chaplaincy, cultural, and assembly leading, amongst others. The day concluded with goal-setting sessions, where each Prefect identified key objectives for the year ahead, empowering them to step into their leadership roles with confidence and a clear sense of purpose. We are looking forward to their contribution to Avondale School over the next twelve months.
