Secondary Swimming Carnival

Secondary News - Feb 11, 2022

There were lots of screaming and cheering for the Sport Houses on Monday with our annual Swimming Carnival at Wyong Olympic Pool. The new House Captains played an important role in motivating and organising swimmers in each race. Congratulations to Rhiannon D, who broke a butterfly record, Mia W who broke a freestyle record and Jai L who broke both butterfly and breaststroke records. Pacific were once again the overall winners with Hunter coming a close 10 points ahead of Macquarie, followed by Watagan. Students who came in 1st or 2nd place will be selected to swim in the upcoming HRIS carnival to be held at Lampton Pool on March 9. Those students' names will be posted in the sports window after the presentation. They will be encouraged to attend swimming training at Avondale University pool, Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6.45am followed by breakfast at school.Age Champion trophies will be given out at a Chapel soon. A big thank you to the parents, staff and students who came along and enjoyed the day. The pool staff once again congratulated the school for their enthusiasm and good behaviour.
