Last Thursday, Kindy students had a very exciting visit from the SES as part of their 'E Week' learning experiences. The SES volunteers shared about their important role within the community and organised three engaging hands-on activities for the children, including a pretend search and rescue using clues, learning about safety during heavy rain, and exploring the equipment used by emergency services workers. Students also had the opportunity to see inside the SES truck and ask many thoughtful questions about emergencies and community safety. This is our third visit from emergency services this year, and we are very thankful to Karine Menzies, the local Firefighter Service, the Westpac Helicopter team, and the SES volunteers for sharing their valuable knowledge with our Kindy classes. We would also like to thank them for all that they do for our community.
