What an exciting day our Year 1 students had at Bike Day this week! Joined by their Year 5 buddies, the children hopped on their bikes and set off on an adventure around the school grounds.
There were plenty of challenges along the way! The children rode through the bush along the cross-country track, around the dam and up to the high school oval. Riding across the oval proved to be a tricky challenge, but everyone persevered and enjoyed the exciting ride around the car park afterwards. Here, the children could ride at a speed they felt comfortable with and really enjoy showing off their riding skills.
A huge well done to our Year 5 buddies, who did an amazing job running alongside their Year 1 partners and keeping up with them! Their encouragement and support made the day even more special. After all that riding, everyone was ready for a well-deserved, refreshingly cool ice block!
Bike Day was not only lots of fun, but also a wonderful opportunity for our Year 1 and Year 5 students to spend time together, encourage one another and strengthen their friendships. It was a fantastic day of riding, laughter, teamwork, and buddy bonding!
