Year 1 Community Helpers Day was a wonderful celebration of the many people who support and care for our community. Students arrived at school dressed as a wide variety of community helpers, proudly showcasing their creativity and understanding. We saw painters, nurses, police officers, veterinarians, and many more important roles represented across the cohort.
The day began with a lively parade around the quadrangle, where students had the opportunity to show off their costumes to peers and teachers. It was a joyful moment filled with excitement, colour, and a strong sense of community spirit.Following the parade, students rotated through a range of engaging, hands-on activities set up in different classrooms. They visited Fee Fee’s Café, where they explored roles in hospitality, they even got to order their own food and be served, a party shop filled with fun and creativity, and a construction zone where they could build and collaborate.
Throughout the day, students gained a deeper appreciation for the many people who serve and support them in everyday life. It was an enriching experience that combined learning, imagination, and fun — and most importantly, it helped students recognise the value of contributing to their community.
Year 1 had an amazing day, and it was a joy to see their enthusiasm and curiosity come to life!
