On Tuesday, our Year 11 Geography students headed to Ash Island in Hexham (Kooragang Wetlands), to explore ecosystems and biodiversity. Equipped with field instruments, students collected data, made observations, and experienced the wetland environment up close. It was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning, helping students connect classroom concepts with the real world while appreciating the importance of protecting these unique habitats.
