Despite the persistent rain, our Year 11 Urban Challenge in Sydney last week was filled with laughter and teamwork. We left Morisset later than expected as the transport chaos was just about to start. Day 1 saw us hit the ground running as students raced to crack clues and reach checkpoints across the CBD. The afternoon ferry to Manly was a rocky ride past the Heads, followed by a reflective worship with Mr Kunz and a walk across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. On Thursday, Luna Park was all ours! The wet weather meant no queues, and students made the most of the rides (some a little too much!). That evening, we braved the downpour again to cheer on the Bulldogs and Dolphins at the NRL match at Olympic Park – soaked but smiling.Friday began with an interesting visit to Sydney University, sparking thoughts of future pathways. Though flooding closed our school, we still had to make it home. Thanks to NSW Rail and a waiting coach in Gosford, we returned safely to Morisset, tired but happy. It was a fantastic team effort all round, full of challenges, surprises and memories that will last a lifetime. Well done, Year 11!
