Year 11 Visual Arts students participated in a 'Body of Work' incursion in the Visual Arts room this week. Exploring syllabus content with a guest teacher inspired students to understand and appreciate the requirements of the ‘artmaking' component of the course. An interactive creating exercise, using the expressive form of ‘clay’, assisted students with their understanding of structure and the constraints of certain materials. Although there were varying degrees of success in making, most students created a structure that incorporated the sculptural outcomes of the task.
