The Year 12 Business Services class braved the wet weather to celebrate the near completion of their Certificate III Business with a visit to Taronga Zoo. This learning experience consolidated several of the modules covered in the course, and marked the beginning of their final unit, Work Effectively in a Business Environment. They engaged in a behind-the-scenes look at how the zoo functions as a business, and some of the data and decisions that impact their approach to marketing, meeting client needs and government obligations. After the seminar, the group had time to explore the zoo and visit some of their favourite animal exhibits. The rain didn’t deter the animals or students, and it was a lovely way to celebrate their achievements and learning.
