The final Year 12 PROPEL excursion took place this week, signifying the end of the Local Heroes Project. Throughout this unit the students have met people who make a difference in the local community and were challenged to find ways to be involved and help others. After being impacted by the work done by Communty Reach Australia in providing food to those in need, they planned, cooked, and delivered over 100 frozen individual meals and a supply of cereal for emergency food hampers. The volunteers were grateful for the supplies, and our students found it very rewarding to work together with the goal of helping those in our community. It was a lovely way to finish off the unit and the PROPEL experience.
