Year 12 PROPEL Local Heroes Presentation

Secondary News - Aug 28, 2026

Year 12 PROPEL students saw the successful culmination of much time and energy this week, as they hosted the Local Heroes Presentation evening. The event was well attended by families, friends, staff members and some of the local heroes being honoured. The Local Heroes integrated module incorporates English Studies, Work Studies and Mathematics and has been an inspirational journey. Highlights have been making connections in the community and identifying individuals who are making a difference in their spheres of influence. The students were responsible for all elements of the event including providing refreshments, programming, decorations, invitations, resourcing, marketing, technical support, preparing and delivering the presentations and gifting each local hero a token of their appreciation. The high standard of professionalism of the event and the confidence displayed by each student was acknowledged and appreciated by all in attendance.
