Year 12 PROPEL students are in the middle of their final unit - Local Heroes. The purpose of this unit is to give students an awareness of those around them and the needs in our community, to look for ways to acknowledge those who are making an impact, and for the students to then become more aware of how they personally can impact their local and wider communities in positive ways. This week we have had the priviledge of learning from Toronto Community Hub and Cooranbong Rural Fire Brigade. We are so grateful to both teams for the services they provide to our community, and for taking the time share with us during our visits. There are a few more commnuity engagement opportunities to come, and we look forward to learning more about the everyday heroes serving in our area.
