Year 12 Retreat

Secondary News - Sept 09, 2022

The Year 12 students and staff experienced a few days away on the Year 12 Retreat, spending most of their time at Crosslands Youth and Convention Centre. The focus of the retreat was to spend time relaxing, reconnecting, refocusing and making memories as they count down the last few weeks of their school journey.  Dr Darren Morton shared an inspiring motivation and wellbeing session, which is very timely for the students as they begin their HSC Examinations in just a few short weeks. We are grateful to Darren for being so generous with his time and knowledge in sharing with the group on Tuesday morning. Other activities included kayaking, the inflatable pool challenge, cricket, volleyball, trivia nights, and playing lots of games. The competition was strong! The last day of the retreat saw a change of pace, where the students had the opportunity to complete the Amazing Race around Sydney, organised by Mr Kunz. Students moved around the city in groups to complete challenges and find checkpoints to win points. The weather was outstanding, much fun was had, and the quiet bus ride home was a good indication of the energy that went into the race. To the students and staff who went, thank you for a fabulous few days!
