Last term Year 2 students visited Avondale University as part of their history unit on local special places. The adventure included a walk across the wobbly Cooranbong Swing Bridge — some students were nervous, others excited, but all were brave! They also tried their hand at old-fashioned cooking, measuring ingredients and baking delicious scones. The fun continued with a presentation about the history of Avondale Uni and a discussion of courses offered. Students role-played being nurses and learned how to use bandages to support sore limbs — a great hands-on experience! It was a fantastic day of learning, laughter, and stepping back in time!
