Year 3 Healthy Food Festival

Primary News - Aug 19, 2022

What an enriched experience the Year 3 students had at their Healthy Food Festival this week. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts who supported our day. Here are a few comments from our Year 3 students:It was an awesome experience because you were able to greet new people, you got to sell banana muffins, yoghurt muesli cups, chocolate coated bananas and gummies. We had to do a lot of preparation before we could sell anything. (Zara)It was a fun experience, I learnt lots about how to sell things. It was fun finding a new healthy recipe that I got to try. We had to learn about the 5 Food Groups to know what is healthy and what is not healthy.  (Harper)It was a really fun experience. We learnt how to give people change and greet new people. I was a little stressed about giving the wrong change so I got my friends to help me and make sure it was the correct change. There were judges to judge the decorations, the taste of the food and how healthy our food was. We loved their costumes. Mr Clarke was the best!!! (Rachel)We got to put up our stores and decorate them with balloons, chalkboards, posters and stands. We got to wear mufti and we had matching tops. We made a profit of $71. We are very proud of the results. (Lyla)
