On Tuesday Year 4 students enjoyed an exciting learning adventure at the Australian Museum in Sydney. Their day began with two hands-on, teacher-led sessions. First, they explored the colourful Pasifika Wansolmoana gallery, discovering the rich cultures and traditions of Australia’s Pacific neighbours, which linked perfectly with their Geography studies. They then visited the Burra Connecting to Country gallery, where they learned about Australia’s diverse landscapes, deep connections to land, and even had a go at traditional weaving. The excursion wrapped up with a self-guided tour of the museum’s fascinating exhibits, including Planet World, the Dinosaur gallery, the Minerals gallery, 200 Treasures, and Australian Birds. It was a day filled with discovery, culture, and excitement!
