Year 5 Wolstoncroft Camp

Primary News - May 08, 2026

Last Friday, our Year 5 students returned from an unforgettable camp at Point Wolstoncroft, filled with lots of adventure and laughter. Blessed with perfect weather and an unusually crystal-clear Lake Macquarie, students made the most of every moment in this beautiful setting. Throughout the three day camp, students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities, including kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, archery, rogaining, damper cooking, and bushwalking. Each experience challenged them to step outside their comfort zones, build resilience, and work together as a team.

Our accommodation offered stunning lake views, providing a peaceful place to recharge between activities. During free time, students enjoyed friendly games of tennis, soccer, and table tennis, making the most of every opportunity to connect and have fun with their peers.

Evenings were just as memorable, with staff hosting a lively mini Olympics that had everyone laughing, cheering, and showing great team spirit. Combined with delicious meals and full days of activity, it’s no surprise that students returned to school on Friday afternoon feeling happy, accomplished—and just a little tired!

Year 5 camp was truly a highlight of the year, creating lasting memories and strengthening friendships that will continue well beyond the classroom.
