Year 8 Anna Bay Camp

Secondary News - May 03, 2024

The Year 8 Anna Bay camp at the end of last term was all we hoped it would be. The weather was a little grey to start with but improved as the week progressed. Activities included surf school, bike riding, kayaking, and hiking around the beautiful Nelson Bay area. Students enjoyed the giant sand dunes by cartwheeling or rolling down (some were better than others). That might explain the pockets full of sand when it came to the washing! Many students did something on camp for the first time, such as riding a tandem bike or standing up on a surfboard. The golf driving range may have inspired a few to take up the sport. Playing capture the flag at night on the dunes was a lot of fun. The time lapse shots were really cool as there was no moon that night. A big thank you to the teachers who made it happen and a big well done to Year 8.
