Last week, Year 9 headed south to the Bungonia National Park for a week of outdoor adventures. Surrounded by stunning cliffs, rugged bushland and breathtaking views, the camp was a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build resilience, and connect with nature.
Throughout the week, students took part in a range of hands on activities. Abseiling encouraged students to confront and overcome personal fears, while orienteering required careful navigation and strategic thinking. The caving in Grill Cave and B5/4 was a particular highlight, offering a chance to explore Bungonia’s remarkable underground landscape. The weather proved a challenge with cold nights and windy days, however, our students showed resilience and determination as they climbed out of the gorge through the rain.
Throughout the camp, they demonstrated teamwork and perseverance. It was great to see our students step up and challenge their fears while also facing the reality of cooking their own food (and cleaning up afterwards). Well done Year 9, you did us proud!
