Year 9 Food Technology students recently ventured to Paddy’s Markets in Haymarket to experience first-hand the multicultural influences that shape Australian cuisine. Surrounded by vibrant food stalls and diverse ingredients, students explored new flavours, tasted dishes from different cultures, and discovered how traditions from around the world contribute to what we eat today. The excursion gave students the chance to step outside the classroom, broaden their food knowledge, and reflect on the role of food in connecting communities.
