Youth Engagement Officer Visit

Primary News - Feb 28, 2025

On Tuesday our students had the privilege of a visit from our local Youth Engagement Officers, Zack (Youth Engagement Officer) and Tyler (Aboriginal Community Liaison Officer). Our Primary students had a fantastic time meeting Zack and Tyler, exploring the police car, turning on the lights and sirens, dressing up in uniform, and even enjoying a game of handball.

Meanwhile, our Secondary students participated in an important presentation on online safety, cyberbullying, privacy settings, and the consequences of sharing personal information. Zack emphasised the importance of thinking before posting, protecting your digital footprint, and staying safe online as well as the potential legal and social repercussions of irresponsible online behaviour. The students engaged enthusiastically, asked insightful questions, and gained valuable knowledge. We look forward to continuing our partnership with our local YEOs to educate and support our students in becoming safe and responsible members of the community.
