At Avondale School we value empowering young leaders. The student School Captains are ambassadors who embody the school values and display good morals and respect. They are approachable, reliable and trustworthy with high expectations of themselves and others. The prefects establish and maintain the highest standards of behaviour, attitude and appearance at all times and provide a positive role model for other pupils. They are appointed each year to undertake various roles and responsibilities around the School.
Prefects exhibit the personal qualities that are valued at Avondale School, including self-discipline, leadership skills, communication skills, public speaking, politeness, helpfulness, respect and care for others. They are reliable and responsible members of the School’s community.

The Student Representative Council is a forum designed to honor student voice and to enable students to meaningfully participate in the management of the school.
The SRC is peer elected and has the opportunity to represent the students voice ideas, requests and suggestions.
