Our Early Learning Centre is a warm, inclusive, and nurturing space for children aged 3–5. We believe it is our role to ensure that children develop an understanding of the tools they need to manage their own wellbeing, while showing kindness and caring for others, in order to lead healthy and resilient lives. Our exciting play-based learning environment allows young children, along with their families and teachers, to work together to develop foundational skills, not only for a successful transition to formal schooling, but to empower children’s self-identity and agency through a play-based learning approach. The Early Learning Centre is rated Exceeding the National Quality Standards in all 7 areas, delivering exceptional quality in every aspect of early education and care. Our team focuses on partnerships with families to ensure children feel safe, secure and provide a sense of belonging, so their individuality can shine.
“To say that every child and family is unique is an understatement! Being able to be in a profession where I can connect with children and families on an individual basis is an amazing motivator. It drives my passion to collaborate with you to create an environment that ensures your child can have access to an “Exceeding” level of early childhood education. Our team believe that each family deserves to experience a sense of belonging to our centre, knowing that you are valued and will be supported to help your child to reach their potential by setting the right foundations for life.” — Flavia Butler, Director
We believe “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, all that is seen and all that is not seen. God created humans in His own image and gave them the responsibility of protecting and caring for the land, and for every single living aspect of his creation.” (Genesis 1)
We acknowledge You Lord because we believe You are the Architect, Provider and Leader of Your creation, the universe, and beyond.
We also respectfully acknowledge the Awabakal People of the Awabakal Nation, recognising them as the Traditional Custodians of this land that Avondale Early Learning Centre stands on today. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, and acknowledge that they have cared for Awabakal Country since time immemorial.
We recognise the continuing contribution that the Awabakal people make to the life of this region. We pray that we can educate our children to know more about the Awabakal Nation, and therefore work together to leave a legacy of reconciliation, justice, connection, and hope for all future Australians.
